I’ve been on AirBnB around 6 years now and Buddha House is my favorite AirBnB, hands down. Looking at the pictures, I was uncertain how good it would be at first. My patnah told me to give it a chance, and MAN, I’m glad I listened. It’s essentially a converted hotel, and you get the entire thing to yourself. It’s insane how much space there is. It was only 8 of us, but you could fit 30 people in here easily.
We all congregated in the common areas to watch some basketball playoffs, to partake in the private chef breakfast they offered, cool out in the pool or to just hang out and talk all night. It’s located in the heart of the strip and for those looking to entertain the nightlife, it’s guest friendly and 2 blocks from the casino where all the ladies hang out.
Maricella was the manager and came to check on us almost every day. She was AMAZING! I can’t speak highly enough about our experience here. If you have a group, there’s almost no better place to stay.

A group of 14 of us stayed at the Buddha House for a week, to celebrate my birthday. The accommodations were perfect. We utilized 11 of the rooms with private baths. All of my guests commented on how this was such a great find. We all had our private rooms and also had the entire property to ourselves. There was room to gather in the common areas, plenty of tables, a pool that was large enough for quite a few of us to sit in together, and 2 refrigerators at our disposable.
Maricel was an excellent and welcoming host. Francis was more than helpful in planning activities for us. Through Francis, we were able to reserve time on Tortuga Island, had a (delicious yet simple) catered breakfast, make arrangements for a trip down to Manuel Antonio Park, and arranged transportation back to San Jose airport. The location couldn’t be better; we had the beach less than a 5 min walk, plenty of bars & restaurants, shops, and even a grocery that was less than a 10 min walk away.

Couldn’t believe we had the whole place to ourselves! This was a great place to clean up and kick back after spending time in the Osa Peninsula. The Buddha House had everything we wanted for a family vacation. AC and a bathroom in each room — what a deal! We loved cooking in the big kitchen with pots and pans large enough for our 11-person family.
The 20-somethings had fun shopping just down the street. The beach really is just a couple of blocks away, and great restaurants and markets are in walking distance. It really feels like an oasis in town. Maricel is a great host. She was so friendly and helpful — she answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to send us money that we left in one of the room safes.
Definitely stay here with your big group and prepare to relax and enjoy yourselves.

The Buddha House…recently we celebrated our wedding at this location. We had plan to find a place in Costa Rica to celebrate something unique for us. We wanted something different, singular and a place to relax. We embark in March 2023 looking for that individual place. A place that was central and could give us a sense of familiarity and peace. During our visit the first place we visited was the buddha House. We love the three right at the entrance and the style. For us it was just what we were looking for.
Choosing this location wasn’t difficult. It was just what we wanted for our family, a place to enjoy and celebrate. We flew people from Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Ukraine, France and the USA. We spent a little bit longer than a week and for our family members it was just pure relaxation.
The buddha House specially Maricel made all possible. YES! We would recommend this place. Thanks Buddha House.

Buddha House is an awesome property for staying near Jaco Beach. The property is tastefully decorated with lots of outside spaces to collaborate and chill. The rooms are clean and spacious. The room air conditioning helps alleviate the humidity outside. Shiva is a great host. She was very responsive to cater to our requirements of setting up the property for an anniversary celebration. Shiva even picked up the cake for us.
The chef and DJ services were awesome — great dinner and breakfast cooked right inside the property. It was a great experience for our entire party of 18 and will definitely use the property next time for a visit to Jaco.

Shiva’s Buddha House is the ideal place to enjoy a peaceful and meditative getaway while being a step away from the enthralling hustle and bustle of city life.
Host Maricel is enchanting, welcoming, accommodating and extremely resourceful. With her, myself, and my other 14 guests, did not have to worry about anything. She was able to help with all the details: private airport pick-ups & drop off, recommended activities & festivities and needed entertainment. I recommend getting the chef whose culinary skills are incomparable as meals were all sumptuous. Buddha is really an oasis nestled in a vibrant and bustle city that offers all that you may want.
We describe our experience as entering a zen like ambience, but as we exit those heavy gates, we are greeted with an exuberant daytime buzz and an ecstatic night-life. 💯% recommended Pura Vida!!!
