Buddha House was so wonderful for a grad school spring break! Our group of 13 had the whole place to ourselves. Our hosts were very communicative and flexible, even allowing us to check in earlier than the listed time. We enjoyed the pool and the easy walks to both the beach and Jaco town. We used the concierge to cook dinner one night and not only was the concierge service responsive and friendly, it was the best meal we had in Costa Rica! Even though we were so close to the action we could hear the clubs and bars at night, it felt very secluded and private. This is a great place for groups who want a big pool, strong A/C, private bathrooms for everyone, and
central access to Jaco town.

What a beautiful property! Super comfortable with lots of space. The pool looks smaller in the pictures, it’s actually perfect and so refreshing. The host is super communicative and responsive. The kitchen is outdoors and extremely well equipped. The location is very practical and walking distance from grocery stores, restaurants and the beach. Thank you to Buddha House for a wonderful escape.

I stayed with a large group at the Buddha house/hotel in March. The host, Maricel, was fantastic- super friendly, helpful, and very responsive! She was there to meet us for check-in and to tour the property. The Airbnb itself was perfect for our group of 14. The grounds are well kept, AC was great in all of the rooms, everyone was comfortable, and the pool was awesome. We spent most of our time just hanging out by the pool and enjoying the lush atmosphere. Maricel coordinated a chef to come prepare a fantastic Costa Rican breakfast each morning. Finally, the location couldn’t have been better for our group- Right in the center of Jaco on the main road, less than a minute walk to shops, restaurants, bars and only a few minutes to the beach. All in all, we had a great stay! Very happy to recommend Buddha House!

We stayed as a group of 8 and had a great time! Maricel was able to help us by recommending a tour agency that planned our pick up and drop off to SJO, as well as a Manuel Antonio tour. It was an efficient stay, with good security, a pool that is deceptively bigger than the photos suggest (6 feet deep roughly in the middle). We all had a wonderful time and if we needed anything at all Maricel responded very quickly! I would recommend this airbnb to anyone looking for a tropical vibe airbnb with good security and accommodating hosts.

I’ve been on AirBnB around 6 years now and Buddha House is my favorite AirBnB, hands down. Looking at the pictures, I was uncertain how good it would be at first. My patnah told me to give it a chance, and MAN, I’m glad I listened. It’s essentially a converted hotel, and you get the entire thing to yourself. It’s insane how much space there is. It was only 8 of us, but you could fit 30 people in here easily.

We all congregated in the common areas to watch some basketball playoffs, to partake in the private chef breakfast they offered, cool out in the pool or to just hang out and talk all night. It’s located in the heart of the strip and for those looking to entertain the nightlife, it’s guest friendly and 2 blocks from the casino where all the ladies hang out.

Maricella was the manager and came to check on us almost every day. She was AMAZING! I can’t speak highly enough about our experience here. If you have a group, there’s almost no better place to stay.

A group of 14 of us stayed at the Buddha House for a week, to celebrate my birthday. The accommodations were perfect. We utilized 11 of the rooms with private baths. All of my guests commented on how this was such a great find. We all had our private rooms and also had the entire property to ourselves. There was room to gather in the common areas, plenty of tables, a pool that was large enough for quite a few of us to sit in together, and 2 refrigerators at our disposable.

Maricel was an excellent and welcoming host. Francis was more than helpful in planning activities for us. Through Francis, we were able to reserve time on Tortuga Island, had a (delicious yet simple) catered breakfast, make arrangements for a trip down to Manuel Antonio Park, and arranged transportation back to San Jose airport. The location couldn’t be better; we had the beach less than a 5 min walk, plenty of bars & restaurants, shops, and even a grocery that was less than a 10 min walk away.

Couldn’t believe we had the whole place to ourselves! This was a great place to clean up and kick back after spending time in the Osa Peninsula. The Buddha House had everything we wanted for a family vacation. AC and a bathroom in each room — what a deal! We loved cooking in the big kitchen with pots and pans large enough for our 11-person family.

The 20-somethings had fun shopping just down the street. The beach really is just a couple of blocks away, and great restaurants and markets are in walking distance. It really feels like an oasis in town. Maricel is a great host. She was so friendly and helpful — she answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to send us money that we left in one of the room safes.

Definitely stay here with your big group and prepare to relax and enjoy yourselves.
